About Me
Choosing the right counsellor is no simple task. I often think of how hard it can be just to find a good taco place or a hair colourist who will actually listen ! Not easy and many people take their time to find these "matches". But a therapist... this is someone with whom there needs to be a comfortable connection, as it takes courage and emotional energy to invest in this process. This is why I am more than happy to have a 15 min consult for you to get a feel for the fit.

My BA is in Psychology from UBC, and my MA is in Counselling Psychology and Organizational Psychology from Adler University in Chicago. Since completing my MA in 2010 I have worked in multiple settings including a treatment centre, at a college counselling centre and at a Health Authority.
My colleagues and clients have described me as intuitive, direct, warm, and not afraid to make some space for humour when appropriate. I strive to be honest and real with my clients. I offer my perspective and reflections and observations. I’m not a therapist who will turn questions back on you or simply paraphrase. I am a therapist who will give you direct feedback based on what I’ve come to know about you through our work together

When I am not in session I am usually spending time with my charming and mischievous little boys, or trying to put them to bed earlyish so I can watch some nonsense TV. I also love to travel, a passion that developed during my previous career as an airline crewmember.
